Shannon Badiee’s paintings, drawings and prints often times address spirituality and transcendence. She has developed her own language of simple shapes, color and patterns to describe her inner psychic terrain. Shannon is greatly inspired by the surrealist symbolists of the past and present, by the 1970’s iconic, flat imagery often associate with graphic design and inspired by nature. Borrowing from both Eastern and Western traditions, she is interested in creating her own mythology. Shannon sees herself walking a line between affecting and kitschy.
